2019-2020 Hot Metal Bridge Fellows

Andrea Tovar 

Andrea is from El Paso, Texas and recently graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in General Business. Her previous research examined bilingual word activation, and priming effects on long-term word production among bilinguals. She is particularly interested in language switching among bilinguals, and second language learning. During her time in the Hot Metal Bridge program, she will be working with Dr. Natasha Tokowicz in the Psycholinguistics Underpinnings of Multilingualism (PLUM) laboratory.

Natalie Heywood 

Natalie Heywood is a Pittsburgh native, who recently graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She is interested in all aspects of childhood development and is currently working with Heather Bachman in the Parents Promoting Early Learning Lab. She is eager to learn more, apply new techniques and take full advantage of what the Hot Metal Bridge program has to offer.
